How do I deal with extreme breakdowns : ADHD

In the last week I broke down 4 times, every time I’m feeling overwhelmed I have to use all my energy to somewhat keep me together, but it has always ended in the most terrible breakdown, I’ve only started on medicine recently and I’ve become extremely emotional, I went from being angry at everything and just walking away to being so emotional that it’s hard dealing with, I’m talking to my psychiatrist on Thursday but I’m barely keeping my self together
