Are there habits/behaviors/routines that help (or reduce) the effectiveness of your meds?
I’m not on a stimulant yet, but I was prescribed Modafinil for my daily fatigue (psych wants to remedy that first before we address the ADHD specifically.) I realize Modafinil/Provigil isn’t a stimulant in the same classification as other ADHD meds, but given how expensive it is, I want to be sure I’m getting the most out of it. After a few days I can’t tell if it has an effect on me, which is how I started thinking about my lifestyle & whether my behavior can help boost it.
And in a month or so I’ll probably be on stimulants, so might as well give myself a fighting chance to help meds work their best, y’know?
I’m interested in anecdotal evidence if you found a medication to work better in certain circumstances, alongside certain habits, etc. (I couldn’t find a specific question like this when I searched the sub, so apologies if it’s been asked before!)
