I just found out about ‘BFRBs’ and boy does it fit : ADHD

BFRB stands for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours, including compulsively biting nails, biting or picking at skin, pulling out hair (e.g. eyebrows), picking your nose, biting at the inside of your cheek, biting the skin of your lips, chewing on your hair… I’m sure there’s more.

I personally either do or have had a problem with 7 of these 8, so it felt pretty crazy to read this list.

These behaviours are often linked with OCD of course, but also with ADHD because of that drive towards anything that releases dopamine.
