Maintaining friendships : ADHD

Do any of you feel like no matter how meaningful someone is to you, you find yourself unable to come to the table for them? I make friends easily but am horrible at responding to texts or being an accountable friend because of my spaciness, and then retract and get socially anxious in response until things pile up around me and I have to apologize or try to get on a new foot with people. I have plenty of energy and attention to give friends when I’m with them, but my brain is so “out of sight, out of mind” that I can forget to check in or do any kind of maintenance for the relationship. I can’t hang on to or develop friendships that I see potential in, no matter how much I want to and it’s something that’s causing a lot of hurt for me.
